Baklava is originally a Turkish word. The famous dessert was quickly adopted by several nations until today. Baklava originated in the Central Asia as a Turkish dessert.
As Bulut Family moved to Los Angeles in 2010 for their children’s education, the mom, Mualla, brought along her baklava recipe and started baking her delicious baklavas in her Mediterranean restaurant in Westwood.
Using top quality ingredients, she started off with no financial expectations but a smile on her customers’ face before they leave the restaurant. She says her favorite ingredient is love. Her baklavas attracted continuously increasing love from her customers and led to the creation of a new baklava brand: The Baklava House.
